Does Arity share my data to help insurers provide me personalized auto insurance quotes?
Yes, with your consent, Arity Services, which is a federally regulated consumer reporting agency, shares an Arity® driving score or other information derived from your driving data with insurance companies to improve the accuracy of their quoting and offer lower rates for safer drivers. Below we provide more detail on the Arity® driving score.
The Arity® driving score is approved for use by insurance companies in 47 states and the District of Columbia. Ask your insurance company if the Arity® driving score is available to provide you a personalized quote based on your actual driving behavior.
What is the Arity® driving score?
The Arity® driving score measures how safe a driver you are based on several factors including:
- Phone usage while driving
- Speeding
- Sudden braking
- Time of day that you drive
This score allows auto insurers to understand how safe a driver you are so they can offer more accurate and personalized insurance quotes. Being quoted based on the Arity® driving score means you’re priced based on how you actually drive, compared to information insurers traditionally may use such as your age, gender, marital status, and/or credit score.
By choosing an insurance carrier that uses the Arity® driving score or other driving habits to price auto insurance, safe drivers may save 20 percent or more on their monthly premiums. Depending on your insurer, riskier drivers could also be charged more. The Arity® driving score is approved for use by insurance companies in 47 states. Ask your insurance company if the Arity® driving score is available to provide you a personalized quote based on your actual driving behavior.
