Targeted advertising service

Arity collects geolocation and related driving behavior data, and we link that information to other personal information such as device identifiers. Arity uses this information to facilitate interest-based advertising for its advertiser partners. When Arity uses this information to facilitate interest-based advertising, this is considered cross-context behavioral advertising under California law or targeted advertising under Connecticut, New Hampshire, Oregon, Texas, or Virginia law. You have the right to opt out of this type of advertising and, in California, to limit the use of your sensitive personal information.

You have several ways to opt out of the sharing of your personal information, opt out of targeted advertising, or limit the use of your sensitive personal information including:

DAA AppChoices tool

You can control how information about your behavior is used for interest-based advertising by installing the Digital Advertising Alliance’s (DAA) AppChoices application on your mobile device. Select “Interest-Based Advertising Choice.” Then, select “Device ID-Based Choices.” Lastly, select the “Send” option next to Arity’s logo under the “Status” column to complete your opt out submission. Visit the following link for more information about DAA’s AppChoices tool.

Mobile phone settings

You can also limit receiving interest-based advertising without downloading the DAA AppChoices tool by using the settings available in your mobile phone. Android Users (version 2.3 and above) may “Opt out of Ads Personalization” by following the instructions provided by Google in Google Play Help. iOS Users (version 6 and above) may limit “Personalized Ads” by following the instructions provided in the Apple Support Center. Please note that if you opt out of receiving interest-based ads, you will continue to receive ads, but the ads may be less relevant to you because they will not be based on information about you.

Your app settings

Some interest-based advertising can also be controlled within the settings of the individual mobile applications. To learn more, review the options available by mobile application providers.
