Who Is Arity? Six years in, a trillion miles strong, and a leader in understanding driving behavior
Just shy of our six-year anniversary and collecting a trillion miles of driving data, Arity has been awarded the 2022 North American Vehicle Data Analytics Product Leadership Award by Frost & Sullivan.
This award is reserved for companies with products or solutions that deliver the best quality, reliability, and performance within their specific industry. And, after thorough research of vehicle data analytics in North America and its key players, Frost & Sullivan singled out Arity for its game-changing products like Arity IQ and Drivesight®.
Read on to learn more about the work our team has been doing to innovate the industry and where we’re going next:
We are… nearing six years in and a trillion miles strong
Since its conception, Arity has been striving toward its mission to make transportation smarter, safer, and more useful for everyone. We leverage the largest driving behavior dataset tied to claims to provide accurate insights that help our customers address challenges and improve profitability.
With Arity, insurers boost their marketing ROI and gain the insights needed to price more competitively at time of new business. Additionally, we help auto aftermarket retailers manage inventory and staffing in a way that maximizes productivity and sales, along with many other use cases.
All our solutions are fueled by our rich dataset, which is projected to hit a trillion miles of driving data this coming November. We capture nearly 2 million trips per hour through mobile app partnerships, OEMs, OBD-II devices, and other sensor types. Then, our team of best-in-class data scientists correlate the driving data with claims data to deliver accurate predictive insights that help customers lower costs, grow profitability, and enhance their users’ experience.
With over a decade’s experience and broad data coverage, Arity helps customers develop efficient strategies to improve business and revenue opportunities while reducing operational costs. Its vehicle data solutions aid the business success of insurers and automotive and transportation industry participants.

We are… a leader in understanding driving behavior data
According to Frost & Sullivan’s research, Arity’s solutions are outcompeting other industry players. While data aggregators typically rely on driving data from OEMs, traditional telematics data sources, and competitor data collection methods to back up its solutions, Arity takes it a step further.
Because our company spun out of The Allstate Corporation in 2016, we have unique access to 85+ years of its insurance claims and underwriting expertise. That insurance claims data is our key differentiator. We tie driving behavior to claims losses – not modeled, not predictive, but actual claims losses – which means we provide the most accurate predictive measure of driver risk.
Frost & Sullivan specifically commended two of our insurance solutions, Arity IQ and Drivesight®, for providing superior value. Drivesight® uses data collected from mobile apps, via phone sensors and sophisticated detection methods, to assess and score insurance customers’ actual driving behaviors, while Arity IQ is an API that allows insurers to ping our pre-existing database of 45+ million consumers to access their driving score at time of quote. Both solutions help carriers price risk more profitably with the potential of increasing segmentation of loss by 65 – 85%.
We are… Arity
While we are thrilled to be recognized as a product leader for 2022, our mission is continuous and we will keep brainstorming and innovating new ways to make transportation smarter, safer, and more useful for everyone.
