Introduction

As Arity celebrates 10 extraordinary years, we’re looking back with pride at the bold aspirations, big ideas, breakthrough innovations, and smart people who have powered our journey.
What began as an opportunity to help auto insurers better understand risk has grown into a driving intelligence business with a bigger vision for the future of transportation.
These 10 facts celebrate where we started, how far we’ve come, and the momentum we’re carrying forward as we use our data products and solutions to help businesses make more strategic decisions and achieve stronger outcomes.

Where we started

Fact #1 – Arity started in auto insurance

Arity’s heritage lies in auto insurance. Founded by The Allstate Corporation in 2016, Arity was created to solve a challenge that insurers know well: how to better understand driving risk and price policies more accurately using real-world driving behavior data and predictive analytics.
That origin still shapes how we work today. Our early foundation connecting driving behavior to insurance outcomes gave us a practical understanding of how mobility data can inform better decisions — not as abstract signals, but as intelligence tied to real business results. Today, we continue to serve the auto insurance industry while applying our driving behavior dataset to additional industries and use cases, including retail, the public sector, and mobile apps.

Fact #2 – Arity is focused on improving transportation

Arity’s mission has evolved with our business. Ten years ago, we began by helping auto insurers use driving behavior data to better understand risk and make more informed pricing decisions. Over time, that foundation expanded into a broader opportunity: helping organizations turn mobility data into intelligence they can use to improve safety, customer experiences, operations, planning, and growth. Today, our work reaches beyond insurance, but it remains rooted in the same belief that started it all: better mobility data can lead to smarter decisions and safer, more useful transportation experiences.

Where we are now

Fact #3 – Arity has analyzed more than 3 trillion miles of driving data

Arity’s scale has grown substantially in the past 10 years. As of August 1, 2026, we have collected and analyzed more than 3 trillion miles of driving data since inception. The breadth and depth of our data enables a more profound understanding of driving behavior and mobility patterns, helping organizations make strategic decisions that can improve outcomes.
Today, that dataset grows by approximately 2 billion miles and more than 170 million trips each day—about 25,000 miles and 2,000 trips every second. The scale of our data help us identify meaningful patterns in how people move and behave on the road.

Fact #4 – Connected mobility intelligence helps organizations see what comes next

The value of mobility data is not simply its volume. It comes from connecting intelligence about driving behavior, mobility patterns, and transportation systems to the signals organizations already use. That broader context can help reveal why conditions are changing and how shifts in when, where, and how people move may affect risk, demand, operations, infrastructure, businesses, and communities. When organizations can better understand what’s happening on the roads, they can anticipate the forces shaping what comes next, and make strategic decisions with greater confidence.
Arity adds behavioral context grounded in driving data linked to insurance outcomes, while complementary signals can expand the view across people, vehicles, roads, and goods. Together, these connected signals can help organizations understand what is happening, anticipate what could happen next, and determine where action can create the greatest value — from pricing and marketing to traffic analysis, safety, operations, and planning.

Fact #5 – Arity products support decisions across industries

Although Arity is rooted in auto insurance, our mobility intelligence products have evolved over the past 10 years and is now applied across industries where movement, driving behavior, and risk shape important decisions. We help organizations turn mobility signals into intelligence they can use to improve pricing, reach relevant audiences, plan operations, support safety, and measure business impact.
Across insurance, marketing, retail, mobile apps, connected home, fleet, and public-sector safety use cases, Arity products help organizations:
  • Better understand driving risk and improve pricing sophistication
  • Identify relevant audiences and engage consumers with more personalized experiences
  • Plan operations, staffing, inventory, infrastructure, and safety initiatives
  • Detect crashes and help connect drivers with support when they need it
  • Measure outcomes and connect mobility insights to business performance
Today, our products package that intelligence for different needs — from driving behavior insights and risk scores to Crash Detection.

Fact #6 – Arity’s people put curiosity and collaboration to work

Technology powers much of what Arity does, but it’s our people who have shaped what Arity has become. Over the past decade, employees across engineering, analytics, product, business teams, and more have helped turn driving behavior data into products and insights that support smarter, safer, and more useful transportation experiences.
That progress reflects a culture built around curiosity, collaboration, continuous learning, and ownership. From engineers advancing telematics and platform capabilities to analytics teams transforming trillions of miles of driving data into practical intelligence, Arity’s people have pushed our business forward by solving complex, real-world problems. New voices continue to build on that foundation, including our 2026 intern cohort, whose contributions reflect the curiosity and willingness to challenge conventional thinking that have defined Arity from the beginning.

Where we are going

Fact #7 – Arity and Experian are expanding access to driving intelligence

Over Arity’s first decade, its engineers and analytics teams transformed trillions of miles of driving data into the Arity® Driving Score — giving consumers a clearer view of their driving habits and helping them make more informed decisions about safety and auto insurance.
When people can see how they drive, they can identify opportunities to improve and make more informed auto insurance decisions. Through a partnership with Experian®, Arity offers drivers a way to gain personalized insights about their driving habits. Through this partnership, consumers can access the Arity® Driving Score and Arity® Driving Report, educational tools that provide personalized insights based on their driving behavior.

Fact #8 – Arity is connecting the auto insurance customer acquisition ecosystem

In 2026, we announced Arity Lead Platform, a customer acquisition platform built for performance marketers in the auto insurance industry. It helps marketing and growth teams connect their acquisition ecosystem without replacing the technologies and partners they already use.
Arity Lead Platform gives auto insurers a shared operating foundation for customer acquisition. It connects acquisition sources, carrier decisioning, operational workflows, and business outcomes across the technologies and partners carriers already use.

Fact #9 – The Arity Way guides how we work

Achieving our mission to help improve outcomes for consumers and organizations can only happen if we show up for one another, our customers, our partners, and the people who ultimately benefit from our work. The Arity Way connects our culture, values, and employee value proposition through four commitments:
  1. We are stronger as a team. We value different perspectives, assume positive intent, and collaborate to deliver.
  2. We value continuous progress. We favor learning and fast optimization over slow perfection.
  3. We focus on customers. We work toward better results for customers, partners, and end users.
  4. We take ownership for collective results. We hold ourselves and one another accountable for shared goals.
These values are not simply statements. They shape how our teams solve problems, make decisions, and move ideas forward.

Fact #10 – Arity is expanding its vision for transportation intelligence

The achievements of our first decade are only the beginning. In October 2026, Arity announced an agreement to acquire substantially all the assets of INRIX, a leading provider of transportation intelligence and mobility analytics.
The acquisition agreement strengthens our ability to pursue Arity’s purpose — making transportation smarter, safer, and more useful for everyone — on a broader scale. We see a future where transportation intelligence does more than describe movement. By connecting insight across people, vehicles, roads, and goods, it can help organizations understand what is happening, anticipate the forces shaping what comes next, and act with greater confidence.
Transportation shapes far more than the journey itself. It influences access to jobs and essential services, how companies reach customers, how products move through the economy, and how communities grow. A more complete view of these relationships can help organizations make better-informed choices and create meaningful progress. Learn more about Arity’s agreement to acquire INRIX.

Conclusion

Ten years after our inception, Arity continues to evolve alongside the industries and customers we serve. While our product portfolio has evolved and our use cases have expanded, our commitment to using driving intelligence to help organizations make critical, strategic business decisions remains the same.
We’re excited for the road ahead.
